To celebrate our tenth anniversary in 2008, we sponsored the (best&breakfast)10 Talks, churros and trends. They involved three breakfasts targeted at communications and public relations professionals where we displayed the most effective concepts and practices for engaging in dialogue with three different kinds of audience: activists, trendsetters and techies.
Who is considered the father of modern public relations? What is the most important manifesto that examines the best practices for companies that operate on the Internet? In what year was the social network Tuenti launched? Who is the Editor-in-Chief of the El Mundosupplement Ariadna? These are just some of the questions in the first board game ever for communication, marketing, public relations and social media professionals, created by Best Relations.
This game surveys the sector today and its main concepts, tools and leaders through a series of questions and tests that any professional in the sector should be able to pass.
The dynamism of the best-selling board game company in Spain, Party&Co, backs up our thrilling new game, which has five categories:
Plus, the game comes with a smattering of “Crises”, which mean that the team that is playing has committed a poor communication action and is punished by having to move backwards on the board, or even back to the starting point. It also has “Headlines” which, if answered correctly, double the number on the dice the next time the team throws them.
This game is a great way to measure your knowledge and that of your colleagues while also having a good time. If you still don’t have your own Board Game on Communication, Public Relations and the 2.0 Social Media, interact with us via our profiles on the social networks to get one.
We here at Best Relations are addicted to Facebook; we are bloggers and tweeters, and that is why we were thrilled to organise, right here on our terrace, the top monthly Twitter event in Madrid: Twitmad, which is held the first Tuesday of the month. Twitmad is the meeting point for users of this network, where they can meet and chat in an informal atmosphere.
The 100 friends of Twitter that attended the event shared their experiences and information and put a flavour to their passion for Twitter by trying Twitter ice cream, which features a sky blue colour and a refreshing lemon flavour, courtesy of Best Relations.
The music that played during this edition was chosen by the Twitter users themselves via a collaborative list on Spotify.
Maximising digital channels to promote recovery” was organised by Best Relations and the Spanish Association of Heads of Online Communities (AERCO) in conjunction with Forrester Research and BBVA. We had the pleasure of welcoming Jonathan Browne, Forrester Senior Analyst, who gave us interesting advice on how to address 2.0 from the vantage point of companies.
The talk was extremely interesting, and the participants enjoyed a lecture brimming with content and knowledge. Thanks, Jonathan!
Gurumet = Guru + Gourmet. Gurumet is an informal meal for social media and communication professionals who like to reflect around a good meal. In the first edition of Gurumet, fascinating conclusions were drawn on the question: What is the future of companies in 2015 seen through the prism of the social media?
The following communication and social media experts attended the first meal: Roberto Carreras (Associate Professor at UO Cand Consultant–Adviser on the Social Media), Jose Antonio Gallego (Chair of AERCO), Antonio Domingo (CEO of Fénix Media), Adrián Segovia (Head of Web Analytics at El País), Juan Pedro Molina Cañabate (Professor at Universidad Carlos III in Madrid), Gonzalo Martín (New Media Consultant), Ismael El-Qudsi (Head of Search & New Media at Havas), Millán Berzosa (Sales Manager and Community Manager at ideas4all), Samuel Martín-Barbero (Founder and Dean of the IE School of Communication-IE University), Mildred Laya (PR & Press Manager at Oracle), David Martínez Pradales (Communication Executive –Head of Press at Orange) and Alberto Baltanás (Internal Communications Manager at Grupo Banco Santander)
There were only three rules: to eat and drink, to have fun, and to bring three ideas on their vision of companies in 2015 and the social media. (To download the complete document on the conclusions of Gurumet, click here).
Best Training is the training area of Best Relations, focused on the new 2.0 speakers encountered in business due to the explosion of social media. The services are aimed at community managers, responsible for managing business communities, communication departments, product managers, e-business, webmasters, etc.. who have to adapt their tone and message to new channels of communication online corporate or product. All levels of employees can be trained to become company spokesmen - spontaneous without being conscious of it - even up to senior management who need to keep abreast of these new forms of communication and in turn understand this new mechanism when broadcasting messages and managing their corporate strategy.
Thus, Best Relations fills a need arising from the provision of social media to the field of communication: the diversification of issuers of messages - that are no longer simply authorized, but may come from multiple sources, official or otherwise. With this new service, firms maximise the management of this new network of speakers / talkers and organise their communication, taking into account this new scenario. The dialogue takes place between people, not between business and the public.
Training by the Best Relations consultants and specialists is offered to senior employees within each industry by providing a level of current knowledge consistent with the current state of social media. In addition, each training programme is appropriate to the different vertical sectors (health, technology, consumer, government, etc ...) and that includes the 2.0 philosophy as a crosscutting theme in all company levels, from communication to marketing, customer relations, market research or RSC.
Best Relations has conducted training sessions for institutions and companies such as IE Business School, Xunta de Galicia, Aragon Government, Emerson College (USA), Universidad Juan Carlos I, Universidad Nebrija CESMA Business School, Universidad Ramon Llull, Turespaña , Unidad Editorial, PRNoticias, Universitat de Barcelona, School of Public Relations of Barcelona, University of Vigo and the Institute of American Studies.
If you are interested in participating in a Best Training, do not hesitate to contact us (Tel 915 211 134 - bestrelations@bestrelations.com).
